Spoiler Alert: This feature contains major spoilers on "The Vampire Diaries" Season 6, episode 6 titled "The More You Ignore Me, The Closer I Get."

Tripp (Colin Ferguson) drives his special van again to Mystic Falls with newbie vampire Ivy (Emily Chang) and two others onboard as his latest victims. The vampire hunter really wants to get rid of the supernatural creatures to avenge the death of his wife.

Damon tells Stefan (Paul Wesley) what happened to him but did not go into details on how he got back from being stuck in 1994. When asked about Bonnie (Kat Graham), the Salvatore vampire lied and said that Bonnie was not there with him.

Elena finds out that Damon is back but she does not want to see him yet because she is still unsure of what she wants. Alaric (Matt Davis) assures Elena that he will only bring back her memories of loving Damon if she asks him to remove the compulsion.

Then, Alaric asked Elena to find out what Jo (Jodi Lyn O'Keefe) because she cannot be compelled. Elena finds out that Jo already knows about her and Alaric being vampires and she does not have vervain in her system.

"There's only one thing that can resist compulsion without needing vervain and that's a witch. You're a witch," Elena stated. "How about I make a deal with you? You don't ask questions about me and I won't ask questions about you," Jo responds and Elena agrees.

At Tripp's vampire prison, the vampire hunter wants Enzo (Michael Malarkey) to reveal the location of his vampire friends or they will go sight-seeing in Mystic Falls. Matt (Zach Roerig) finally tells Caroline (Candice Accola) and Alaric Tripp's plan on Enzo.

Stefan (Paul Wesley) admits that he is responsible for turning Enzo over to Tripp so the group decided to bust Enzo out before Tripp finds out their real identities. Stefan and Caroline head to where Enzo is being held captive but Tripp and his two minions already removed the Augustine vampire there.

Matt is searching Tripp's computer in his office for files that could give them a lead on his vampire-killing mission. Sarah (Gabrielle Walsh), who is still searching about her parents, Zach Salvatore and Gail, shows up at Tripp's office and finds Matt snooping around there too.

Sarah and Matt find out that Caroline is Tripp's next target because her name is listed in Ivy's phone which Tripp kept locked up in his office drawer. Eventually, Matt told Sarah that she has relatives in Mystic Falls but they are vampires so she should just leave and stay as far away as possible.

Damon started to miss Bonnie after Jeremy (Steven R. McQueen) showed up at Elena's dorm to inquire what happened and why Bonnie did not come back. While leaving a message on Bonnie's phone, Damon receives a phone call from Elena, who now wants to face him because she cannot avoid him forever.

Tripp and his men arrived at the dorm room looking for Caroline but they ended up capturing Damon instead. Damon wakes up in Tripp's van with Enzo. Meanwhile, Alaric, Stefan, Caroline and Elena speed up their plan of saving Enzo now that Tripp also has Damon.

Elena tells Caroline that she has made up her mind and now she wants Alaric to un-compel her. On the other side of the border, Alaric and Stefan tried to interrupt Tripp from entering the Mystic Falls border because of the anti-magic boundary spell but the plan failed and the van still crossed the border.

Tripp flees the scene while Stefan risks his life to save Enzo and his brother from dying again. As for Alaric, the Original vampire is badly injured. Fortunately, Jo followed Alaric and saved his life.

Caroline tells Elena that Alaric is still alive but he is no longer a vampire. Now that Alaric is a human being again, it means he can no longer bring back Elena's memories of loving Damon. It also means Damon will just have to make Elena fall in-love with him all over again or they should find another way to break the compulsion.

Jeremy is now accepting the reality that Bonnie is gone, but in a violent way, while Caroline walks away from an apologetic Stefan. "After all this, I don't want to be friends anymore," Caroline tells Stefan. The episode ends with Elena finally opening the door to see Damon and the two just stood there staring at each other.

"The Vampire Diaries" Season 6 will return with episode 7 titled "Do You Remember the First Time?" on Thursday night, Nov. 13, at 8 p.m. ET on the CW Network.
