The Vampire Diaries is expected to return in the small screen for its fourth season and many people are clamoring for season 4 spoilers.

Nina Dobrev, one of the stars of the series who plays Elena Gilbert, reveals some interesting tidbits about her character in season 4.

One of the major changes in this season is the fact that Elena Gilbert will be a vampire and this transition would open more doors for questions and more intrigue. In regards to the type of vampire Elena would be for season 4, Nina Dobrev shared her thoughts on the subject:

"I think she's going to be a terrible vampire because she doesn't want to be a vampire, so she's gonna kinda be like a Stefan vampire. I don't know-she's going to probably try to eat bunnies instead of people. It's going to be no fun. But it's going to be fun for me. Then Katherine will be eating people and Elena will try to save the people." says Dobrev.

Elena's younger brother, Jeremy would be greatly affected by Elena's transformation as a vampire which can cause a whole lot of tension on both characters. Steven R. McQueen, the one who plays Jeremy also disclosed his thoughts on the subject stating:

"I think it gives us a lot of interesting places to go and see what happens next season. Jeremy's tried to-his main objective is to keep the people he loves safe, and he's failed doing that with his parents and some people he's loved and now his sister. So I think at the end of the day, through these three seasons, he's grown really callous, and it's just going to add to that."

Changes for The Vampire Diaries would not be limited to the good guys, as the bad guys would also experience some changes.

Case in point is Rebekah, who caused the death of Elena thus making her a vampire. Julia Plec, the producer of the show also shared some interesting information about Rebekah's character.

Plec mentions that "Rebekah is going to be 'persona non grata' amongst the heroes of the show, if not everyone. Even Matt, her sweet little football captain, is going to probably have a hard time getting past that. He's not necessarily gonna be talking to her anytime soon."

Things are looking good for The Vampire Diaries because aside from the high anticipation for season 4, the show is also recognized in various awards show. One of which is the Teen Choice Awards where The Vampire Diaries is leading the race, receiving 6 total nominations.
