The UK "Sex Box" show may have been criticised greatly by many as "awkward" but its pilot episode was in general a hit, garnering 900K viewer ratings.

However, Metro UK reports that its concept did not easily appeal to others who are not comfortable with the idea of couples discussing how they had sex in a box located inside the television studio. Most of those took their reactions to the Twitter universe expressing how much they found the show extremely weird.

During the UK "Sex Box" show pilot episode, there were three couples up for the challenge of being grilled by the questions of the host Mariella Frostrup and other panel of sex experts. The Twitter responses were filled not just with dismay but also with shock and questions that were not cleared up in the show's debut.

Ed Cumming of the Telegraph UK did a fine review of the show despite being frank about it being worst. He mentioned that the couples featured include a married couple, gay, and straight. He did not have anything against the couples but he said that nothing was interestingly said. In general, he found the show boring.

It was obvious that the show's presenters hesitated when the discussions become crazier than expected. The young couple mentioned sex between the borderline of what's loving and wild but no one asked them more about it. Gay sex was not at all explored while the married couple did not want anyone minding their business.

Sex is something that can be easily explored by anyone at anytime due to the rise of modern technological gadgets. Even young teens get exposed to it even through their own phones. Hence, it was a bit disappointing to have such a brave show as the UK "Sex Box" but still failed to take the topic into greater heights.

Here are some of the most interesting Twitter reactions about the UK "Sex Box" show pilot episode:

Just watched Sex Box...Shoulda just been called "Box - followed by awkward conversations, whilst pretending we're all cool about it"

Channel 4's Sex Box was supposed to be taboo-breaking. So why is it so socially conservative, asks @mjrobbins http://t.co/TUFIXmp4YE
