AMC has reportedly picked up the miniseries titled "The Night Manager" which will star English actor Tom Hiddleston, known for portraying the villain named Loki in the hit films "Thor" and "Avengers," along with fellow English actor Hugh Laurie. Fans will be seeing the 33-year-old actor as the good guy in the upcoming AMC and BBC co-produced miniseries.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, AMC declined to comment on picking up the miniseries based on the 1993 John le Carre novel of the same title. However, anonymous sources claim that AMC is already looking at the new project as a six- or eight-part miniseries airing in the U.K.

The miniseries will follow the story of ex-soldier Jonathan Pine (Tom Hiddleston) who goes undercover in order to catch an international criminal following a series of unexpected events. "House" star Hugh Laurie will be portraying Tom Hiddleston's archenemy in "The Night Manager."

Additionally, the miniseries will mark Hugh Laurie's return to television after his Emmy-nominated run on the Fox TV series "House." As for Tom Hiddleston, the upcoming show will be his largest TV role to date in the United States.

Tom Hiddleston will continue to have a busy schedule since Marvel's Kevin Feige recently confirmed that the English actor will return to the big screen as Loki in the upcoming films "Thor: Ragnarok" and "Avengers: Infinity War." Loki's return in the third installment of the "Thor" movie franchise has already been teased in the ending scene of "Thor: The Dark World."

As for Loki's appearance in Avengers 3, a Comic Book Movie report noted down that the God of Mischief will be facing the consequences of failing his master when he lost the scepter belonging to Thanos when he did not succeed in taking over Earth in "The Avengers." According to a HuffPost Entertainment report, the fans can catch actor Tom Hiddleston in the upcoming Marvel films "Thor: Ragnarok" which is scheduled to be released on July 28, 2017 and "Avengers: Infinity War" which is scheduled to be released with the first part on May 4, 2018 and the second part on May 3, 2019.
