Cook has been named as CNN's CEO of the Year. The CNN Money Rankings have picked Cook as the best guy fit for the title after the tech giant's CEO has lead the company on higher grounds. Apple's stock has impressively peaked at 40 percent this year and has reached an all time high with its launch of phenomenal devices such as the iPhone 6.

According to CNN, Cook has done "an amazing job" for this year as he paved the company to various major events like the successful launching of Apple's flagships, the iPhone 6 and the iPhone 6 Plus. The much anticipated release of the Apple Watch has also been a big factor on the big win of the company's CEO. CNN also adds that Cook is playing the toughest CEO job in the United States and he has also proven detractors wrong as he has made his own mark as Apple's new CEO following Steve Jobs' legacy.

The list of CNN's top CEOs for 2014 also includes BlackBerry's John Chen who has obviously worked so hard in bringing the company back into the circuit. Other names mentioned on the list were Hewlett-Packard's Meg Whitman, Buffalo Wild Wings' Sally Smith, Microsoft's Satya Nadella, GM's Mary Barra, Yahoo's Marissa Mayer, T-Mobile's John Legere, Kroger's Rodney McMullen and finally, Lex Wexner of Victoria's Secret parent company L Brands.

The year 2014 must be all about Cook as he was also declared Financial Times "Person of the Year". The title was given to Apple's CEO due to his works in launching amazing product categories and by putting morals over profit.

In addition, Cook was also nominated for Time Magazine's 2014 "Person of the Year" title. Though the recognition was given to the Ebola fighters, such nomination is still a big achievement for the tech titan's CEO.

Just recently, Tim Cook received a Lifetime Achievement Award from his alma mater, Auburn University. According to The Verge, this is where Cook finished his bachelor's degree in industrial engineering. During his acceptance speech, Cook talked about Employee Non-Discrimination Act (ENDA) which is a proposed legislative act that will protect employees from discrimination based on gender and sexual orientation.

Aside from leading the giant tech company, Cook has also showed strong public stand for human rights and equality. Not to forget the act of courage that the CEO displayed when he went out to the public revealing for the first time about being gay and his staunch support for the LGBT community and their causes.

Keeping one of the world's strongest companies as it is and more so making it thrive is what made Tim Cook a man for all seasons in the years to come.
