Following Seattle Seahawks' victory over the Vikings, Filipino-American Doug Baldwin waves Philippines' flag to show support for the victims of Haiyan/Yolanda tragedy.

It's been more than week since Haiyan's wrath, but the survivors of the typhoon stricken areas are still pleading for help as they get through the wreckage looking for their dead loved ones and searching for food just to survive.

NFL: Minnesota Vikings at Seattle Seahawks

Seattle Seahawks wide receiver, Doug Baldwin is greatly affected by the recent tragedy and aims to extend assistance to his family who are all living in Tacloban City - Haiyan's ground zero. After the Seahawks games on Sunday, Nov. 17, the team announced that the American Red Cross will have volunteers at all gates to collect cash donations to aid in the disaster relief.

Through Badlwin's effort together with his team, all donations gathered in the game will be matched by Paul G. Allen Family Foundation. It's only fitting that the team enjoyed the victory against the Minnesota Vikings when Baldwin has proved once again that he is the playmaker.

Baldwin made an incredible leaping touchdown against Viking's corner covering him and a safety rushing towards him. Thanks to his unbelievable control he managed not to get hit while moving sideways in mid-air just to get that epic touchdown.

In an interview with The Seattle Times, Baldwin recounted his experience when he learned about the devastating effect of typhoon Haiyan.

"It was (stressful) at first just because you didn't know what was going to happen," he said Thursday. "Most of them have been accounted for. One of my family member's house is completely gone and the majority of my family members are staying in my grandmother's sister's house. The only thing is that it's been difficult to get them food and water because it's not been accessible to do so. But most of them we have heard from and they are doing okay," says Baldwin.

Although he has never been in Tacloban City, the Seahawks superstar is planning to take a time off to make sure that he can visit his relatives.
