The 'Twilight' stars( Robert Pattinson, 27 and Kristen Stewart, 23 ) are looking for any excuse to reconnect with each other - even setting up a rendezvous with their dogs Bear and Bernie. A dog is certainly man's best friend so Pattinson and Stewart are hoping that their two friends will help them reunite.

Kristen and Rob may be leading separate lives for now, but their love story is always in spotlight.

"Kristen would be absolutely ecstatic if Rob reached out to her, and even more so if it involved Bear and Bernie," says a friend of Kristen to HollywoodLife.com.

"She would love to see Rob but doesn't feel comfortable making the first move out of respect for Rob. He's the one who said no communication would be in both of their best interests. Kristen never, ever felt that waym," adds the source.

Even though Pattinson has been linked to many women since he and Kristen split almost five months ago, Kristen has not been on one single date.

"Of course she still loves Rob. She has never stopped loving him. In fact, not once has Kristen mentioned having any sort of romantic interest in anyone else since she and Rob broke up. She misses him terribly, not to mention the dogs. It would most definitely be a happy, and much welcome family reunion for her," explained the friend further.

"Rob is clearly not over Kristen. He for sure wants to see her and will use Bear and Bernie as an excuse to see her. He wants to have a playdate. They used to take long walks in Griffith Park with the dogs when they were together. He wants to do that with her. He will make it seem like the dogs miss Kristen, which I am sure they do, but Rob is the one who really misses her." Added a friend of Pattinson's in an interview with HollywoodLife.com.

"Rob and Kristen in happier times at LA home, they were thrilled to just enjoy the holidays and relax. The two of them really do prefer the simple things in life. They really appreciate this down time when they can kind of have normal lives and do normal, everyday things," revealed an insider to robsteneverlasting.tumblr.com

"Kristen says they are the happiest when they can lounge around at home, listen to music, and spend time with each other and close friends, and of course hang out and play with their dogs. [Kristen and Rob] really do bring out the best in each other and Kristen knows this," continued the insider.

We hope this dog play-date works out for the most celebrated couple of the world.
