Rita Ora reveals she was sexually abused at 14 by an older man but insists she wasn’t a victim

Rita Ora candidly talked about her teenage life during an exclusive interview to promote her autobiography titled “Hot Right Now.” The singer revealed some surprising details about her past sexual relationship with an older man when she was just 14. She said she was sexually abused but insisted that she was not a victim since she also wanted the experience.
In an interview with The Sun, Rita revealed that her first ever boyfriend was a man who was around 12 years older than her. At that time, she was merely 14 years old and “very new to the whole world of a man and a female.”
“It’s child abuse, really, isn’t it?” she asked when the interviewer reminded her that that’s what it’s called in today’s world.
However, Ora insisted that she was not a victim of child abuse because she wanted the sexual relationship with the man. It reportedly made her feel wanted, and she liked how it helped with her teenage ego.
“I was almost obsessed with having a man feel like he wants me. It made me feel great and I didn’t care what he did or how old he was. I wanted it. It’s crazy,” she said during her interview.
The 24-year-old added that she doesn’t want people to think that she was forced to be in a sexual relationship with an older man and that she “was abused as a kid” because she considered herself then “more mature” for her age. The attention she received from her ex-boyfriend reportedly made her feel “sexy” at the time.
This is not the first time Ora has opened up about her past sexual relations. According to The Hamilton Spectator, she previously opened up about her past during an interview with Lifetime TV in 2013. She talked about how she felt confident knowing a man was interested in her, and she associated that interest to a form of respect.
More shocking revelations about the singer’s life and past experiences are chronicled in her autobiography “Hot Right Now.” According to The Sun, the book gives fans a look at Ora’s life as a refugee from the war-torn country of Kosovo before becoming the pop star sensation that she is today.
