"Pokemon X and Y" has brought quite a lot of interesting things, from the creepy and controversial, such as the Creepy Girl floating around near an elevator in Lumiose City to the more annoying, which is the save in Lumiose City that corrupts the game.

So far, the most recent interesting bit of speculation to arise is the revival of Missingno, the infamous glitch in the "Pokemon Red and Blue" game. Missingno is not a Pokemon per se---it is a glitch that looks like a backward "L" shape.

But in "Pokemon Red and Blue," you can interact with Missingno in the same way you would a Pokemon. It even has stats and a type, though in glitched form. Back in the old game, Missingno, while useful for some gamers, can actually corrupt the game when used.

Reported by Kotaku, the suspected Missingno in "Pokemon X and Y" has been spotted in a boutique in Lumiose City. The screenshot as seen in the link shows a very distinct backwards L silhouette certainly in the form of a MIssingno. But unlike the old Missingno, you can't interact with the alleged "Pokemon X and Y" Missingno.

One good speculation brought up by the report is the supposed coincidence of the corrupted saves in Lumiose City and the presence of this Missingno. But for now, since the only similarity of the anomaly with Missingno is the shape, it can very well be a nod or an Easter Egg artifact for those who are very familiar with Missingno.

No Pokemon Sold as DLC in the Near Future

Add-on content in the form of DLCs is becoming a fad for console games. They can come as an extension of the story campaign, additional maps or even as added accessories for the original game.

And if you think about it, selling Pokemons as DLCs is a great way to profit and also an easy way out for those who want to collect them all but not necessarily work for them. But it seems that the Pokemon Company and all those who are affiliated with it are not into the idea of doing this in the near future.

Quoting an interview with 4Gamer, Siliconera reports that Ken Sugimori and Tetsuya Watanabe, art director and director, respectively, of the game, gave their thoughts on why they don't see the paid Pokemon DLC happening anytime soon.

"When it comes to business, the one thing I've always said 'no!' to is 'the act of buying Pokemon with money," said Mr Sugimori in the interview quoted by Siliconera.

"I believe the reason we don't simply commercialize [Pokemon], is that it's a way of protecting the brand, and for this purpose, we have the specialty company called The Pokemon Company," he added.

For them, what matters in creating a "Pokemon" game is that they prepare the kind of content for the price that it was meant to sell. For now, selling Pokemons as DLC is not yet on the table, but in the event that the company and developers see the fun side in doing so, then it's not a definite "No" to the idea.

Catching a Shiny

If you have been struggling to catch a Shiny Pokemon for the longest time, there are a number of ways by which you can encounter and nab one of them in "Pokemon X and Y."

The most known method to use is with the Poke Radar, which makes its way back to the game. You can get the Poke Radar after beating the Elite Four, so you can chain the Pokemon and detect the shiny Pokemon in the tall grass.

Tekrieg presents two more ways for you to catch a Shiny Pokemon, with the first being the Masuda method. To do this, you need to breed two Pokemons hailing from different geographical regions. The egg that you will get from these two has a higher chance of becoming a shiny egg. This is a method for those with more patience, as you need to follow a few steps to do it.

Another way is by tipping NPCs with $100, $500, and $1,000. But according to the report, this only happened once to date, so it may not be a very reliable method after one try.
