A demonstration has been seen in a screenshot of Japanese TV channel NHK, but more details are said to be released for next week. This new "Pokemon" game may actually be the first real 3D offering for the franchise, as the demo shows off a 3D Pikachu whose entire head has been modeled after the user's own features.

Take on the Nuzlocke Challenge

Kotaku brings back a challenge mode that was invented way back in Pokemon Sapphire and Ruby days.

Basically, this is a mode that is most enjoyed by either veterans or those who want more challenge in an otherwise fairly easy game. One of the harder rules includes no resets and restarting the game once all of your Pokemons faint.

But there are other Nuzlocke Challenges that are now circulating online. One comes from the Marriland forums, introduced by jepm92. His Blind Nuzlocke challenge has seven rules, including releasing or treating a fainted Pokemon as dead, nicknaming all Pokemons, and allowing 1 encounter per route with it being the first Pokemon you see.

You are also not allowed to use healing items in battles, battles should be under the set Battle style so switching Pokemons mean taking a hit, and trades for evolution purposes only. And the main rule: no guides or spoilers allowed all throughout.

You can also take on that challenge as well if you feel that "Pokemon X and Y" is not as hard as you had hoped it would be.
