'Person of Interest' season 5 episode 3 spoilers: Reese’s cover is put at risk in 'Truth Be Told'

In Season 5 Episode 3 of “Person of Interest,” Reese’s (Jim Caviezel) cover will be threatened because of his latest POI, who has connections to his former colleagues in the CIA. He has to stop the threat before his biggest secrets are let out by the returning character.

During the episode, Reese will be workingunder the guise of an NYPD detective. He will his girlfriend’s parents out to dinner. Earlier, they almost had an encounter with the person that Reese was protecting. Reese will do his best to ease things by joking.

In the promo video, there will also be a person, Beale (Keith David), who will make a return. According to Reese, the CIA will be checking on his past. Beale may reveal his darkest secrets and put him in jeopardy. The clip also showed Beale and his group attacking Reese. Beale told Reese that they have unfinished businesses. While he was in the car with Beale, Reese answered that there will always be unsettled scores and proceeded to attack the men. The car ended up toppling. Reese most likely escaped the ordeal.

Reese will also take on a new number given by The Machine, although some are expected to be unreliable. The Machine is still recovering and experiencing a number of technical problems at times. Previously, The Machine viewed Reese, Finch (Michael Emerson) and Root (Amy Acker) as threats. Eventually, The Machine was able to recognize Reese. Reese and Finch will have to decide whether they will trust the information provided by The Machine this time or rely on their own instincts.

Meanwhile, The Machine also recruited Laurie Granger to assassinate Reese. There will expectedly be more action in the upcoming episode, titled “Truth Be Told.”

CarterMatt writes that many fans were excited to know that Keith David will return. The actor is great at portraying authoritative characters, so he will most likely pose a number of problems for Reese and his friends.

The episode will also provide some information about how Duncan’s (Stephen Plunkett) brother died.
