“The Originals” Season 3 will continue to explore the Klaus-Cami relationship. Executive producer Michael Narducci teased in an interview that Original hybrid Klaus Mikaelson, played by Joseph Morgan, will spend more time with Camille O’Connell, played by Leah Pipes, but not in a romantic way in the new season of the CW TV series. “The Originals” Season 3 will premiere on Thursday night, Oct. 8, at 9/8c on the CW Network.

Spoiler Alert: This feature contains major “The Originals” spoilers.

“The Originals” executive producer Michael Narducci revealed in an interview with TV Guide that the beginning of the new season will have Klaus and Cami in a very professional relationship. Narducci teased that Klaus will be working through his family issues with Cami, who is now a licensed therapist. In the previous season, Klaus carried out an appalling plan to protect his daughter from his aunt Dahlia, played by Claudia Black. However, Klaus’ plan tore his family apart.

Narducci shared that Cami will be the person that Klaus opens up to in “The Originals” Season 3. Narducci further teased that Cami wants to help the Original hybrid in controlling his temper because innocent people end up getting killed.

“She feels a moral obligation to get involved in his life and be someone he can vent to and open up to and help him work through some of his anger. And where that relationship goes from there I think is very interesting,” Narducci said in the TV Guide interview. At the 2015 Comic-Con Roundtable Interview with TVOvermind, Joseph Morgan also acknowledged Cami’s role in Klaus’ life.

Morgan explained that Cami understands the motives behind Klaus’ actions. Morgan further teased that Cami will continue to be the person talking some sense into Klaus especially if the Original hybrid’s actions go too far.

Klaus’ actions in the last two episodes of “The Originals” Season 2 did go too far because of his desire to protect baby Hope and defeat Aunt Dahlia. Klaus tortured Marcel Gerard, played by Charles Michael Davis, placed the Crescent Curse on Hayley Marshall, played by Phoebe Tonkin, and killed vampire Gia, played by Nishi Munshi, in front of her boyfriend, Elijah Mikaelson, played by Daniel Gillies.
