Klaus (Joseph Morgan) and the rest of "The Originals" cast members are back in the mid-season premiere episode titled "Gonna Set Your Flag on Fire." In the latest episode, the fans were treated to intense scenes, tender moments, a shocking twist, a proposal, revelation and revenge.

Spoiler Alert: This feature contains major spoilers on "The Originals" Season 2, episode 10 titled "Gonna Set Your Flag on Fire."

Klaus brings Cami (Leah Pipes) to the Mikaelson safe house to protect her from Finn (Yusuf Gatewood) and welcome her to the family's inner circle. The Original hybrid trusts Cami because he wanted her to meet his daughter, Hope.

Aside from looking after Hope at the safe house, Cami also spent her time getting to know Elijah (Daniel Gillies). Cami witnessed the effects of what Esther (Sonja Sohn) did to her son.

Elijah admitted to Cami that he feels helpless at the moment because his behavior will make him dangerous if he goes out there to deal with the Mikaelson family problems such as Finn's revenge and his sister Rebekah missing. Cami offered the Original vampire psychological help while staying at the safe house with baby Hope.

Hayley (Phoebe Tonkin) returned to the French Quarter to discuss with Jackson (Nathan Parsons) their ritual marriage in order to free the werewolves from the witches and try to have a peace treaty between vampires and werewolves. As for Klaus, the Original hybrid welcomed his brother Kol (Daniel Sharman) back to the fold.

However, things got messed up when Finn showed up to ask his siblings where their mother is. When Klaus refused to reveal her location, Finn placed a spell on the French Quarter where vampires, werewolves, a hybrid and a witch were trapped.

Kol asked Davina (Danielle Campbell) to help in taking down the spell wall but it was too powerful. Davina thinks Finn is drawing its power from a dark object and it was none other than Mikael (Sebastian Roché), who made an alliance with his son when it comes to taking down the vampires.

Klaus contacted Finn and agreed to reveal their mother's location if the Original witch will remove the spell. Finn did a ritual that made the vampires hungry and it resulted to tension between the two supernatural species trapped inside the French Quarter.

Finn agrees to Klaus' offer but warned that things will only get worse if he finds out that something happened to their mother. Finn finally found out what happened to Esther and he is not happy about it.

Esther gave into the temptation and turned into the thing that she hates the most. Finn decided to finish what his mother originally planned and channel her power as well next to Mikael.

Davina and Kol were able to temporarily remove the boundary spell to free the werewolves from the vampires' thirst for blood. Kol was about to leave but Klaus decided to trap his brother with the hungry vampires because he found out about his treachery.

Elijah told Klaus that Rebekah (Claire Holt) did not body jump to a vampire named Angelica Barker and the Original hybrid figured out that Kol transferred their sister into a different body. Fortunately for Kol, Davina asked Marcel (Charles Michael Davis) to protect her new beau from his army of hungry vampires.

At the compound, Hayley finally admits to Jackson that she was with Elijah when she was away. Jackson was obviously hurt but it did not stop the Alpha from proposing to Hayley. Jackson confessed to the new hybrid mom that he really loves her and wants to marry her.

As for Rebekah (Maisie Richardson-Sellers), the Mikaelson sibling tried to send a message about her current situation inside the insane asylum with Harvest girl Cassie (Natalie Dreyfuss) helping. The two were able to contact a spirit inside the New Orleans mansion with the use of letter tiles from a board game.

Rebekah saw a mysterious girl in a black dress and followed the ghost upstairs to locate the room where the mysterious girl's coffin is kept. In the ending scene, Rebekah was brought back to her room by the people running the insane asylum and the letters on the floor spelled out the name "Freya."

"The Originals" Season 2 will return with episode 11 titled "Brotherhood of the Damned" on Monday night, Jan. 26, at 8 p.m. ET on the CW Network.
