One Direction Twitter Fans Explode, Call Zayn Malik A Liar For Releasing 'New Song'
British music producer Naughty Boy released an allegedly new material from Zayn Malik. Unfortunately, the new song did not please fans who bawled their eyes out when he left 1D, with some even saying Malik lied to them. Later, it was revealed that the said demo was actually an old One Direction song. The song has been taken down after.
Just a week after Zayn Malik decided to quit One Direction for good because he wanted to be a “normal, 22-year-old,” he is already making waves again on the music industry. Naughty Boy took to Twitter to share a song allegedly by the former One Direction member as a solo artist, entitled “I Don’t Mind.” Alllegedly, the ex-1D band member worked with him in the studio. According to NYPost, instead of getting the fans, who were sorry to see him leave the band, excited about him as an artist, many were not happy. Some said he is not singing with heart on this new song as he did while still a One Direction member.
A fan said that he does not mind Zayn going solo, but he is angry that he had to lie and make the fans feel like it was their fault that he cannot handle being in One Direction anymore. Another said the new song sounded nothing like the Zayn she loved for four years. Another Twitter user said Zayn lied to his fans so she does not care about him anymore.
Before the new demo was shared however, Louis Tomlinson already believed that Naughty Boy is intentionally riling up the fans by tweeting a video with the caption that “Zaughty” will rise, spurring rumours that he and Zayn would be working together.
It was also later revealed by Entertainment Tonight that the song was actually just a “rough demo of a track” that was created for the last 1D album but it never got included into the album. The source clarified that the song is neither new nor Zayn’s.
The track is now removed from SoundCloud but it had the caption of "There is nothing but love for what was left behind. That's why we don't mind. ;) #zaughty #zinabad."
