“Odin Sphere Leifthrasir,” the highly anticipated remake of a PS2 cult classic, has gotten a new storybook edition and a release window for Western gamers. Developer Vanillaware stated that the game should be available by spring 2016 in the West, which means fans can finally mark their calendars for the beat-em-up/roleplaying game (RPG) hybrid.

The special storybook edition coming to the game will be exclusive to the PS4 version, but it will also be available on the PS3 and Vita. This version of the game will cost US$79.99 (AU$111.12) and will come with a number of extras, including a hardcover art book, a shirt, an unspecified art print and more, according to Game Informer.

Fans interested in the 64-page art book but aren’t too fond of hardcovers can also get a special soft cover with the regular retail edition of the game, which will come at a standard price of US$59.99 (AU$83.33). IGN stated that this would depend on the retailer, so users better ask their preferred gaming stores if they will be getting these versions of the game.

For those unaware, “Odin Sphere Leifthrasir” is a remake of an underrated PS2 game. The remake will feature redrawn sprites, new enemies, extra areas and more. “Leifthrasir” will also give players the original version of the game, without the HD update.

Those who want to give the game a try can pick up “Odin Sphere” right now, as it is currently available on the PS3 as a PS2 classic on the PSN store. This is a port of the PS2 version and will not have HD graphics, nor will it have trophy support.

It seems like 2016 will be a big year for publisher Atlus. Not only will the company publish the “Odin Sphere” HD remake, but they will also be releasing the highly anticipated “Persona 5” as well. “Persona 5” will come on a later date in 2016.

With a spring release confirmed for the game, it looks like Atlus fans have another game to get hyped up about. “Odin Sphere Leiftrasir” will be available on the PS4, PS3 and PS Vita.
