“The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess” amiibo will feature the Wolf Link amiibo. Thanks to the new amiibo, fans will be able to unlock a new area in the game, dubbed as the Cave of the Shadow.

The new amiibo Wolf Link will be useful in this area, GameSpot reported. Cave of the Shadow will put players through challenges that will make use of Wolf Link and Midna’s abilities against opponents.

What’s great about the additional stage is that, once all the challenges have been completed, players can then move on to beating their record. The remaining hearts after completing the challenges can be recorded onto the Wolf Link amiibo. From then on, players can keep going back to beat that record.

Australian developer Tantalus will be in charge of the rerelease for “The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess HD.” The game will come out with the Wolf Link amiibo come March 4.

Apart from “The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess” amiibo, fans can also look forward to a Gamestop exclusive amiibo coming in March. The Roy amiibo has already been announced for preorder, DualShockers reported.

The Roy amiibo was first revealed during the final Nintendo Direct in 2015. It had been a special Direct broadcast focused on “Super Smash Bros.” The “Fire Emblem” amiibo will be released on March 18. Gamestop retail stores and the online store are already accepting preorders.

Amiibos are one of the special features that Nintendo has released for its games. Fans may be able to expect more functionality from the amiibo come 2016, as the company has recently hinted that it plans to expand the use of the amiibo. More than just a collectible figure, as well as its recent use in Nintendo games, there may be more functionality to come to the amiibo.
