A clip of NFL player Benjamin Watson cut off while proclaiming Jesus during a live CNN interview has gone viral. Five days after it was published, the 15-second video has reached almost 700,000 views on YouTube.

On Nov. 26, Watson took to Facebook to share his thoughts about the Ferguson Decision. He explained why the news made him frustrated, introspective, hopeful, hopeless, confused, sympathetic, encouraged, angry, embarrassed, fearful, frustrated, sad and offended.

The Facebook post, which has reached more almost half a million shares and more than 800,000 likes, also mentioned sin, God and the Gospel. CNN invited the New Orleans Saints tight end to discuss his viral Facebook post. However, Watson’s feed cut out when he began talking about the Gospel and Jesus Christ as the Saviour who He died for our sins.

“Our sin that’s in us makes us do those things and the only salvation for this sin is the gospel. The only way to really cure what’s on the inside is understanding that Jesus Christ died for our sins. And so for me, on a micro-level, it’s under…” Watson was saying when he was cut off and a green screen with wavy lines replaced his side of the split-screen.

“Got it. Whup…just like that, we lost him,” CNN interviewer Brooke Baldwin stated.

Prior to playing for the New Orleans Saints, Watson was a member of The Fellowship of Christian Athletes when he was in high school and played for the Cleveland Browns. Watch the clip of him cut off while preaching during a CNN interview here:
