Search engine giant Google is set to release the successor of Nexus 7 tablet on July 24, says a consumer electronics expert.

Google has invited members of the press on Wednesday Android-packed event with SVP of the mobile OS. However, a Nexus tablet and smartphone may also join the launch.

As reported by CNET, Google has invited members of the media "for breakfast" on July 24. Apart from the possible announcement of Android 4.3 Jelly Bean software update roll-out for Nexus devices, the tech press people expect that there will be some major announcements about Google's Android-based products, and of course, the new Nexus 7 tablet computer, and perhaps, a new Nexus phone too. The event is reported to be led by the Senior Vice President for Android Sundar Pichai.

According to the rumours, , the new Nexus 7 will offer a better 7-inch display with more pixels per inch, meaning, users can enjoy HD videos, improved texts on e-Books, websites and more, and hopefully, the device would have an improve viewing angles for better "sharing." The device is also rumoured to feature a 5 megapixels rear camera, which is lacking on last year's model.

And due to the growing Long Term Evolution market in America, it is also possible that the Nexus 7 2013 will offer a quad-core processor with compatible AT&T and T-Mobile bands, just like the original Nexus 7 and the new Google Play Edition handsets, the HTC one and the Samsung Galaxy S4.

The Google Nexus 5, on the other hand, is rumoured to sport a 5-inch full-HD (1920 x 1080) display translating into a pixel density of 440ppi. The device is also speculated to be equipped with NVIDIA Tegra 4 processor with 2GB of RAM, 8/16GB of internal storage, a 13-megapixel auto-focus rear camera with LED flash and a 3-megapixel front-facing camera.

Other rumoured specs of the Nexus 5 include Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 processor that possesses a clock rate of 2.3GHz. The CPU finds assistance in 3GB of LPDDR3 RAM. Storage options are provided in the form of 16GB, 32GB or 64GB of internal memory. Adding to the list of these highly questionable details is a 3300mAh Li-polymer battery, under the hood.
