Australians itching to buy the new and improved Nexus 7 may purchase the device on international resellers.

Australians may have to wait until early next month for the worldwide release of Google Nexus 7. Asus and retailers confirmed that the device will hit the Australian shores early September.

However, Aussie buyers that want to get their hands on the device early may purchase the new Nexus 7 2 tablet from various Web sites of international retailers and resellers.

New York-based retailer B&H is one of the Web sites where you can buy the Nexus 7 2 tablet. It currently lists the 16GB and 32GB Wi-Fi only models for US$229 and US$269, respectively. However, a shipping of $US38.86 to Australia is needed.

MobiCity is another popular Web site lists the 16GB and 32GB Wi-Fi only models of the new Nexus 7 for $359.95 and $409.95, respectively. Shipping is charged $18.95 for a regular courier, or $39.95 for express.

Although the price in MobiCity is slightly higher compared to the suggested retail price (SRP) of the device, it includes a 12 month warranty.

Another Web site offering the Nexus 7 2 tablet is Kogan. The Web site lists the 16GB and 32GB Wi-Fi only models for $339 and $389, respectively. It also has a standard delivery charge of $19 to most Australian destinations. However, consumers may have to wait at least a week. Like MobiCity, Kogan offers a 12 month warranty

Lastly, consumers may want to try the Australian online store dMavo that sells the new Nexus 7. The site offers 16GB and 32GB Wi-Fi only models for $330 and $398.20, respectively with free shipping in all parts of Australia.

Despite bearing a costly price tag than its predecessor, the new tablet garnered rave reviews claiming that the specs and features of the Nexus 7 tablet is worthy of the price tag.

The next generation of Nexus 7 comes with the 4.3 Jelly Bean OS and includes support on 4G/LTE connectivity, which was lacking from the original Nexus 7.

The new Nexus 7 boasts a 7-inch screen display with 1920x1200 pixel resolution; Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 Pro processor paired with 2GB RAM; 5-megapixel rear shooter and 1.2-megapixel front-facing camera; NFC; Bluetooth 4.0; and wireless charging.

The previous Nexus 7 tablet proved to be a hit in Australia. And now that the upgraded device is equipped with new cameras, better screen displays and speakers as well as a lighter and thinner build, the device may sell well in the country.
