Alaric's Future

Some people were concerned that Matt Davis who plays Alaric in the series would not return for The Vampire Diaries because he was recently casted in the new series for the CW called the Cult.

Though some fans were concerned about this, there was no real reason to be concerned since there is a clear gap in Matt's schedule. This gap can give him enough time to come back to The Vampire Diaries.

Another reason to believe in Alaric's return is Matt's response during an interview with EW.com wherein he disclosed tha Alaric would surely return for the season 4 of the show.

Love Triangle Between Elena, Damon, and Stefan

The ongoing love triangle among Elena, Damon, and Stefan leaves everyone at their feet as to where the next season of the show would go. Now that Elena is turned into a vampire, she will be able to remember scenes where Damon compelled her to forget several important things (his feelings for her). This would have a great impact in Elena's decisions for the next season.
