Warner Bros. recently made a hint that a "Harry Potter" movie spinoff is currently in the planning stages, Sky News Australia reports.

The film studios also made it public that that the world renowned "Harry Potter" author will be the scriptwriter behind the project to be called "Fantastic Beasts and Where To Find Them." This is based in the world of wizard she has created and even marked it as "Quidditch Through the Ages."

The book that comes with a similar title is based on the made up sport that she mentioned for her original books. It is just one of the two spin-offs that were announced way back in 2001 for a charity Comic Relief. The good news for fans is that it may be the start of a brand new "Harry Potter" movie franchise.

Bleedingcool.com also writes that Warner Bros has applied for various terms up for trademark which include three of them serving as clue for a much talked about possible Quidditch film. The trademarks included as mentioned by MTV UK are Kenmare Kestrels, Chudley Cannons, Wimbourne Wasps for the Quidditch teams, along with The Tales of Beedle the Bard and Quidditch Through The Ages.

Author JK Rowling said that while the story is set within the world of Harry Potter, it won't have any relation to her original stories.

"Although it will be set in the worldwide community of witches and wizards where I was so happy for seventeen years, 'Fantastic Beasts and Where To Find Them' is neither a prequel nor a sequel to the Harry Potter series, but an extension of the wizarding world," she added.

The "Harry Potter" author said that the customs behind the 'hidden magical society' will remind some common themes for those who have read the series of 'Harry Potter' books in the past. The new story will begin in New York, 70 years ahead of Harry.
