The Simpsons is not just the longest running sitcom, but also the most loved. With a total of 552 episodes from 22 seasons, so far people have been downloading them or watching them online, but now there is an all new app launched to the benefit of the Simpson's fans. FFX will launch an app Simpsons World, this October that will allow fans to stream any episode of their choice on any device. It also allows the users to search for their favourite quotes, episodes and they can also share the videos and create their own playlists.

The app is extremely unique. This app has been named after Matt Groening's 20th Anniversary book, "Simpsons World" and FXX with Gracie Films and The Simpsons producers have been working on its creation and development. CEO of FX Networks and FX Productions, John Landgraf stated that the app was revolutionary as it had got the non linear right soft show. Initially, the show could be aired only in a sequential order this is when it would be aired on Television. On the FXX network, it can be streamed in a random order and snippets can be streamed, too. The latest aired episodes will be made available on line after a day.

Explaining the need for this non sequential streaming ability, Landgraf said that the world too was non linear and people mainly select the content that is on most demands. The benefit of The Simpsons World he said was that it was an immersive online portal and cross-platform streaming experience. This meant that content could be watched on any device be it a phone or an Xbox or an iPad. It also becomes an archive for the content where all the episodes will be present and organised. There are also behind the scenes details and fun facts that fans may not have known about the show. There are also statistics that will inform viewers that are the popular episodes.

But to watch all the episodes you have to be a subscriber of the FXX network. If not you will be able to just browse through the clips, but will not have access to the main episodes. For the first time you can browse through the Simpsons with easy navigation, choose what you want and completely enjoy it. The app is available at SimpsonsWorld.com.
