'NCIS' Season 12 Update: Ziva David's Opinion ('As A Friend') On Tony DiNozzo's Relationships, Cyber Terrorists On A Mission For Winter Finale

"NCIS" Season 12, Episode 10, titled "House Rules," airs next Tuesday, Dec. 16, on CBS. There is no new episode this week, but next week's winter finale is a treat, featuring cyber terrorists on a mission. Meanwhile, NCIS show boss Gary Glasberg spoke about Tony DiNozzo's lovelife and Ziva David's possible opinion about it "as a friend."

In NCIS Season 12, Episode 9, DiNozzo (Michael Weatherly), Bishop (Emily Wickersham) and her husband Jake (Jamie Bamber) are able to prevent an assassination. DiNozzo makes some comment on being single during the holiday. Show boss Gary Glasberg discussed Tony's dating life with TV Fanatic.

"I'm very pleased with where his character is and is going six, seven episodes into season 12," Glasberg told TV Fanatic. Within the first six episodes of NCIS Season 12, Tony dated FBI Agent Leia Pendergast (Stephanie Jacobsen) and rekindled an old flame with ATF Special Agent Zoe Keates (Marisol Nichols).

"Tony is going to go out and have fun and play the field and be Tony," Glasberg said.

"[After a difficult year and some soul-searching, it is now] time for him to get back to being Tony DiNozzo and I don't think that even Ziva David would have argued that as a friend," Glasberg added.

Meanwhile, fans of Cote de Pablo's Ziva David are still hoping to see her back in NCIS Season 12. Tiva shippers also have a hashtag for it: #TivaTuesday.

"Without #TIVA #NCIS has become boring! Who wants to watch Gibbs protecting Bishop? She is supposed to be an agent!" User @stwissmann tweeted, seemingly referring to NCIS Season 12, Episode 7, in which it is revealed that Gibbs has been consciously going easy on Bishop.

NCIS Season 12 Ratings Dropping, But Still Drawing 15 Million Viewers

NCIS Season 12 ratings are still doing very good despite dropping numbers. Over 15 million viewers saw the Nov. 25 episode featuring Jamie Bamber. The episode before that drew 17.9 million viewers, according to Zap2It reports.

Numbers are expected to increase for NCIS Season 12, Episode 10. The show always leaves viewers with an action-packed episode before going on holiday hiatus.

Next week, Kevin Hussein (Ethan Rains), Heidi Partridge (Erin Allin O'Reilly) and Ajay Khan (Vik Sahay) are resurfacing to help the NCIS capture criminals. TV Line has a still photo of the three in this report.
