Motorola Android 5.0 Lollipop Update For Moto X 2014 And Moto G Second Generation

Users of Moto X 2014 Pure Edition and Moto G second generation can now download the latest Android 5.0 Lollipop update to receive a new user interface, battery saver mode, a new user account and more. Official update started in the United States covering Moto X 2014 Pure Edition, Moto G second generation GSM and Moto G second generation Global GSM retail versions. It features the following changes and improvements:

1. New User Interface via Material Design from Android 5.0 for better and more natural touch screen interactions with new visual style, new colours, typography and edge-to-edge imagery.

2. Improvements to the notifications centre allowing users to interact with notifications on the lock screen without unlocking the device. It also comes with new "Downtime" and "Interruption" settings to filter notifications from preferred contacts at specific times.

3. New Guest Mode account has been added to allow sharing of the device with limited access or secure particular apps from public viewing.

4. Flashlight toggle is now available in the Quick Settings menu at the notifications shade by swiping two fingers on the Status Bar.

5. Updates on the battery settings which now display the estimated time left of the battery even while charging and other relevant information. Activating the native battery saver mode will extend usage by reducing overall performance and most background data operations.

Android 5.0 Lollipop soak test in India for Moto G has started and allows users to participate on Motorola Feedback Network program to deliver feedbacks on the brand new Android OS. Other devices included on the Android 5.0 Lollipop upgrade plan of Motorola are Droid Ultra, Droid Maxx, Droid Mini and Moto E.
