Samsung Electronics Co is expected to spend around $14 billion - more than Iceland's GDP - on advertising and marketing this year, but it doesn't always get value for money. The outlay buys the South Korean technology giant publicity in TV and cinema ads, on billboards, and at sports and arts events from the Sydney Opera House to New York's Radio City Music Hall. After months of rumours and speculations, finally Motorola has officially release the most awaited smartwatch Moto360. In the U.S., the Smartwatch is available for $250 in selected outlets. The smartwatch can also be bought online on the Motorola website, BestBuy.com and GooglePlayStore.

Motorola brought in a new design with its round face, a smart move as most of the smartwatches have square dials. It fits like a regular watch on the hand. The watch comes with a leather strap from the famous Horween Leather. The leather is soft and very smooth to touch and is available in two colours, black and grey. The smart wear is simple and looks like a regular watch with many display options to choose from.

However, Motorola will roll out Moto360 with metal bands later this year. These straps will be custom made for the device. Metal straps could also be bought separately for the Moto360 range of smartwatches. The company is also looking to bring out a line with colourful plastic straps. The traditional look is the main strength of Moto360. It is neither too big nor it is small and looks very elegant. The Moto360 is available in six different dials. It has wireless charging that will do away with the charging ports and this has given it a sleek look. This is one very attractive feature of the device.

The flaws in the smartwatch are its display at the bottom that is cut off due to the drivers and the light sensor used by the Moto360. The battery life can last only for a day on a single charge. Other smart wearable come with longer battery life that last for more than two days. This might have consequences on sales as customers may look out for a better device with more battery life.

Whatever may be the advantages or disadvantages of the smartwatch, it is the best looking one in the market as of now. The Apple iPhone 6 and the iWatch will be released on September 9 and it is also rumoured to have a sapphire display that is scratch resistant. Everybody is well aware of the difference between a corning glass and a sapphire display. This year, IFA Berlin will see the launch of many smartphone and wearable devices till such time Moto 360 will enjoy the lime light.
