Migrant Deportation Sometimes Lead to Deaths. What Will Happen if Trump Triumphs on November?
With Donald Trump’s views and beliefs about migrants in the US, it is clear that there will be some harsh and ruthless treatments ahead for the poor US migrants. This scenario is clear but what we don’t know is that deportees are already paying the price even without Trump in the Oval Office.
In a recent study conducted by Elizabeth Kennedy, a social scientist from San Diego State University, there is approximately 83 cases of death coming from three countries: El Salvador, Honduras and Guatemala. These deported migrants were killed as soon as they come home; the study was conducted since January 2014.
On the other hand, The Guardian has also gathered data, compiled and documented the death of 3 deported young Honduran men who were all killed soon after they were deported from the US. Two of them fled Honduras after violent attacks on their families by gangs.
Because of these cases, the US is highly criticized for their actions and failing to assist the refuges at risk and who are really and genuinely in need of help.
