With the launch of Windows 10 Mobile, Microsoft is preparing to launch two new flagship phones to coincide with the releases of their Operating System’s mobile port. One of the new smartphones made an appearance on GFXBench, revealing the phablet’s specs to the public.

Microsoft’s Lumia 940 XL follows suit of other smartphones; like, Samsung S6 Edge, HTC E9+ and LG G4, by using high-resolution Quad HD displays. The common trend has been seen in smartphones all over the globe. The 2560 x 1440 resolution projects a more vivid and ultra sharp display that makes a number of activities; like, photo viewing and video watching, look more amazing. The company’s other Windows 10 Mobile flagship phone will also sport the feature the same screen and resolution.

The Lumia 940 XL; model number of Nokia RM-1100, was confirmed to have 5.7-inch Quad HD display. It’s reported to have a 17-megapixel rear camera and 5-megapixel for the front camera. Its processor is listed as being an octa-core Qualcomm chip, which is most likely to be the Snapdragon 810 because of the inclusion of an Adreno 430 GPU. Its RAM is listed as 1.5GB, though it’s expected to be 2GB. It will also include 16GB of internal storage and a microSD expansion slot.

A popular benchmarking site, GFXBench also revealed a smartphone that was believed to be the Lumia 940 earlier this month. The site provided a breakdown of the specs of the smartphone, which is reportedly on a more level playing field with other Android smartphones. The Lumia 940 sports a 5.2-inch Quad HD display and 64-bit hexa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 808 as its processor. The smartphone is also expected to be offered in a bigger, phablet-sized version that competes with the upcoming Apple iPhone 6s Plus and Samsung Galaxy Note 5. Weeks later, thebigger Lumia 940 XL also made an appearance at GFXBench.

There is no release date for the smartphones yet but rumors claim that the phones will be on the market in September.
