The Indian Smartphone Company Micromax has launched Canvas Nitro A310. The smartphone is priced at Rs. 12,990.

The Canvas Nitro A310 was launched to compete with Motorola's Moto G (Second Generation) that is recently available in the market at Rs. 12,999. It will also compete with the Chinese smartphone Xiaomi Mi3.

The Micromax Canvas Nitro A310 has a 1.7 GHz Octa-core MediaTek MTK6592 processor with Mali 450 GPU and 2 GB of RAM.

It runs on Android 4.4 KitKat operating system and sports a 5 inch HD IPS display with a resolution of 720 x 1280 pixels. The screen has a oleophobic coating that makes it smudge proof. Micromax demonstrated it by pouring oil on the screen. Though it is not full HD the display is sharp with a density of 320 ppi.

Canvas Nitro A310 has 8 GB of internal storage out of which 5 GB is available to the user. It also has a micro SD slot expandable up to 32 GB.

This smartphone has 13 mega pixels, rear camera along with a 5 mega pixel front camera. The front camera is wide angled. It also has Live Photo, multi angle view mode and selfie option with timer.

To give the smartphone a premium look it has a leather finish at the back and a simple look at the front of the device. The handset is available in two colours, white and dark blue.

With the 5 inch display, the device does not look too big and has classy hardware. It also has some interesting software like the blink screen that shows the time and notifications on the lock screen without waking the device.
