Longtime fans who have played previous “Battlefield” games are going to receive a special thanks from EA Games. The company has announced a “Veteran’s Pack” bonus for fans who have played the previous games in the series and plan on purchasing the upcoming “Battlefield: Hardline.”

The announcement was made on the official “Battlefield” website that EA runs. The Veteran’s Pack will be available to those who purchased “Battlefield: Bad Company 2,” “Battlefield 3” and the most recent outing, “Battlefield 4.” Fans must also have an Origin account in order to access the special pack, with the aforementioned “Battlefield” games already registered. Afterward they can simply log in to their “Battlefield: Hardline” and receive their special bonuses for being a loyal fan.

As for the bonuses themselves, they appear to be special boosts that will help a player out in gameplay to make difficult sections much easier. According to Polygon, there will be two boosts from the “Battlefield: Hardline” Veteran’s Pack, each running for about 30 minutes, so they must be used wisely. The first one is the 200 percent“Objective Boost” and the other is the 200 percent “Teamplay” Boost.

An in-game Veteran’s Patch will also be available to those who decide to register and get the Veteran’s Pack. The patch will likely be a show of loyalty to the franchise and something fans of the previous games in the series can brag about having online. This in-game Veteran’s Patch also appears to have no effect on the gameplay side of things, so players expecting a certain advantage over anyone else could reportedly be disappointed.

“Hardline” is expected to differ from previous games by focusing on policemen and criminals rather than soldiers in warzones like the previous games in the series. Fans can also expect the same intensity and epic gun fights that have been a staple in the “Battlefield” series.

“Battlefield: Hardline” is set for release next month, on March 17. The game will be available on current-gen gaming platforms like PC, Xbox One and PlayStation 4. It will also be available for gamers with last-gen consoles like the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360.
