Motorola Shamu aka Nexus 6 is much keenly watched and awaited flagship phone of Google. This phone with 5.9 inch display may look like the Motorola Moto X 2014 or the Motorola Moto S that is yet to be released. It may even have a new design. However, all speculations will come to an end as the Nexus 6 is supposed to officially release by October 15.

There have been rumours surrounding the Nexus 6 for some time now and the recent rumour of the upcoming smartphone is regarding its availability. Pocket now a tech blog has stated they have received inside information from an anonymous source regarding the Nexus 6. According to them Google has struck a deal with Verizon one of the largest mobile carriers. Now Verizon will offer the Nexus 6 during fall or winter.

This comes as a surprise because not many carriers offer Google Nexus. The Nexus 5 was only available with T-Mobile, Sprint and the Google Play Store. In 2011 Verizon offered the first Samsung Galaxy Nexus CDMA following which it has never adopted the Nexus. After a gap of two years Verizon will be offering this brand of smartphones. However, nothing much has been revealed regarding the release date or the price.

The Nexus 6 specifications are a 5.9 inches 2,560 x 1,440 Quad HD display with a pixel density of 496 pixels per inch, touch screen with five finger gesture. It has much going on under the hood with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 805 quad core processor with 3 GB of RAM. It also has a 64 bit chipset that will run on Android L operating system.

Motorola Nexus 6 has a storage capacity of 32 GB internal memory. No information about the microSD slot so expandable memory is uncertain. The camera at the front is 2.1 mega pixels and the camera at the rear of the smartphone is 13 mega pixels.

This phone is much awaited among all the smartphone released this year and it has specifications that are extremely good.
