Ex-Prime Minister Kevin Rudd still seemed an interesting character for the Aussie populace with his diary, The Rudd Rebellion, set to be release on Nov 4. The diary is published by Melbourne University Press (MUP), with author Bruce Hawker.

Bruce Hawker is a campaign manager, bagging 30 years of experience working with business and political personalities. He had been the adviser for the Australian Labor Party since the 1980s and had been actively handling campaigns at state, territory and the government from 1997 up until today.

The Rudd Rebellion reveals Mr Rudd's journey being ousted as prime minister in June 2010, his return in power in 2013 and until Labor was defeated in the Australian Election in September 2013.

According to MUP, the book reveals interesting details explaining why Rudd failed in the election with factors narrowed in about Julia Gillard's unpopularity and News Corp Australia's coming into picture.

"The diaries reveal the extent of News Limited's intervention in events to greatly influence an election outcome," MUP's official press release stated.

The Rudd Rebellion is "a revealing and fascinating first-hand account of the dramas behind one of the most challenging political campaign that Australia has ever seen. From the detailed war-gaming of potential political outcomes to the nail-biting lead-up to the polls … What really happened on that campaign trail? How did Rudd resume prime ministership? And did his ultimate push come too late, or was saving the furniture the best the ALP could have hoped for,"as described by MUP.

What made the diary interesting is that it is "Framed by a prologue and epilogue to set the scene and to analyse the election wash-up, this is a candid, blow-by-blow account of what really went on," as remarked by MUP.

Back in Sept 1, 2013, same publisher had come out of an eBook titled iKevin, written by Jonathan Biggins.

iKevin is an eBook exclusive for the iPad that reveals the emails, the tweets, the apps, the text messages found inside Mr Rudd's smartphone during his term as prime minister. The Ebook will go into detail about the the greatest failure, comeback and defeat again in the history of the Australian politics that is Mr Rudd.
