Kate Upton and Justin Verlander are NOT a Couple

Guys can breathe a sigh of relief because Kate Upton is still single. The rumour about Upton dating former love interest Justin Verlander sparked when the two were spotted watching a hockey game in Philadelphia on Jan. 11.

Several spectators who were watching the said hockey game between Philadelphia Flyers and Tampa Bay Lightning saw Upton and Verlander in the same box seated next to each other. One observer even took a photo of the two celebrities and shared it on Twitter. The picture doesn't really prove anything. Upton and Verlander weren't really getting all sweet and cuddly with each other but people started thinking that the two may have already gotten back together.

According to E! News, Upton and Verlander may have gone out together, but their sources reveal that the two weren't exactly a pair.

"Kate and Justin are not back together," a source close to Upton said. The Detroit Tigers' baseball pitcher only asked the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue model to visit him before he go through surgery.

"She wanted to be there for him," said the source.

The Tigers announced that Verlander had a successful core muscle repair surgery. He got injured while training during the offseason. Nevertheless, the team anticipates his return after the surgery. He will have to undergo rehabilitation and recovery programme for the next one and a half months before undergoing reexamination to determine if he is eligible and really ready to play.

Verlander topped off his 2013 regular season with a 13-12 record. He had an earned run average (ERA) equivalent to 3.46. His strikeouts are a total of 217.

Upton is seemingly enjoying her single life following her breakup with Maksim Chmerkovskiy. She recently attended the 50^th anniversary event for Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue. She recently appeared in a cover story for the spring issue of V Magazine.

So there you have it! If you guys need confirmation if Upton and Verlander are really dating, well they aren't, at least for now. Could Upton and Verlander be giving each other a second chance again? Are they headed for a romantic relationship? We will find out soon.
