Kate Middleton was declared the best-mannered person by the National League of Junior Cotillions for this year. Together with her husband, they top the "Ten Best-Mannered People of 2011" for the annual etiquette list.

The National League of Junior Cotillions (NLJC) compiles a list of celebrities, actors, athletes, and singers through the social and etiquette training course. NLJC considers people according to their manifestation of honor, respect, and dignity.

Spearheaded by Elizabeth Anne Winters, NLJC national director, the list is announced every year. Names of prominent people topping the list are divulged in magazines and Web sites.

Appreciate "the poise and dignity with which she conducts herself in the public spotlight," the wife of Prince William for eight long months was held the one to beat for the 2011 top spot, according to Winters.

Other known persons who appeared to be good-mannered are Justin Bieber, who claimed the no. 2 spot, Paula Adbdul at no. 3, Taylor Swift at no. 5, and Emma Watson from Harry Potter at no. 9.
