Kanye West, Kim Kardashian’s fiancé, has been urged to look “closer to home,” when his entourage was seen carrying items with Louis Vuitton labels stamped into them.

Two members of the celebrity couple’s staff were seen carrying LV items on Tuesday, Nov. 26. This came a day after West was heard in a radio station in New York calling out his fans to boycott the French retail giant.

The rant against LV emanated from the refusal of its CEO, Yves Carcelle, to meet with him while he was in Paris, France.

Speaking to 92.3 NOW radio, in New York, Monday, West recalled the incident in Paris.

“I was made for this moment. What happened was while I was out in Paris I wanted to meet with the head of Louis Vuitton, he said I don't understand why we need to meet with you.” West was quoted as telling the NY radio station by Mail Online.

'I said, "Let me explain to you why you need to meet with me."

The “Bound 2” singer exclaimed that LV does not seem to realize the power and influence he has over his fans and the impact he can make when he rallied against the purchase of their products Mail Online estimated between £300 and £8,000.

“Everybody in New York City right now don't buy any Louis Vuitton until after January,” West said about the news outlet.

"Now do you want to meet with me? Now do you want to meet with me? Influence. They think that I don't realise my power."

Mail Online noted that it looked like his own staffs “did not get the memo” nor must have failed to tune in to NY’s radio program for not adhering to the rapper’s calls.

The LV items left with the celebrity couple as he left their apartment on Tuesday. West was with fiancée, Kim and daughter North West, when they were photographed in the singer’s apartment early this week.

It is not clear however, if the LV items his staff were photographed carrying to their car was West’s or Kim’s.
