Justin Timberlake talks about his relationship with Jessica Biel for the first time and admits that he's not the one who wears the pants.

He is a star in his own right, both in the music field and most recently on screen. But it seems like the pop star who is adorned by many female fans can come off as a bit of a pushover. Justin admits that in order to keep everything smooth with his relationship with Jessica Biel, he is careful in making sure that his fiancée always gets her way.

"I answer to a higher power now. We have a couple of rules in our relationship. The first rule is that I make her feel like she's getting everything," Justin said. "The second rule is that I actually do let her have her way in everything. And so far, it's working."

In an interview with Hello! UK magazine, the singer told in detail about how they met and how he asked her on a date. He recalled back in 2007, when he called Jessica via phone to ask her out.

"I did it the old fashion way - by telephone. That's something I learned from both my stepdad and my grandfather - that there is a thing called chivalry and it doesn't have to die with the birth of the internet," he said. "The way I see it, if you're asking a girl out on a date, it's only right to do it in a way that she can hear your voice."

But just because he was already famous then, it didn't mean that he got his way around easily. Justin admitted that he had to be persistent in winning Jessica's affection.

"I had to be pretty persistent in order to get her to say yes. But I have a fair amount of tenacity and if I want something I stick to it. And in the end she agreed," he added. "But what I have learned from my stepdad is something as important, which is patience and compassion. Because when you are living with someone else, those two qualities go a long way."
