Los Angeles law enforcement officials revealed that the drug raid "in plain sight" at Justin Bieber's house one Tuesday morning was molly, a form of ecstasy, and not cocaine as initially thought.

The drug was seen along with Xanax, a prescription sedative, as cops executed a felony warrant to search the pop star's sprawling Calabasas mansion. The warrant was executed as a result of the allegations that the singer should be held responsible for an egging attack at a neighbor's house in an exclusive gated village in Calabasas, Calif. Thursday. The attack caused over $20,000 worth of damage. The pop star's good friend, rapper Lil Za, was also arrested after officials found drugs during a raid on the 19-year-old singer's home.

TMZ reported that the cops first thought the drugs were cocaine but in truth it was molly or MDMA.

"You need to analyze any evidence to see what it proves," Spokesman Steve Whitmore said. "It may not be specifically narcotic but we're fairly sure it is a controlled substance." For Lil Za though, it could be about 2 years in prison.

Officials said Bieber was not connected to the drugs. While cocaine could land Lil Za in jail for 3 years, the molly possession could put him in prison for closer to one year. Lil Za, with the real name Xavier Smith, is known to be a bad influence to Bieber for more than a year now. He was supposed to be out of the pop star's house but he's already been staying at Bieber's Calabasas home for several months.

Eight people, including Bieber, were detained in the garage while deputies executed the warrant. The purpose of the search warrant was to look for video surveillance or other evidence in the vandalism that happened Jan. 9. The investigation is still ongoing. Bieber was reportedly upset that the police had free reign going through his personal things. He was kept outside the house being watched over by sheriff deputies while the police did the search warrant.

Bieber had a couple of run-ins with his neighbors. In March 2013, he reportedly spat in a neighbor's face after being confronted for speeding his Ferrari. In November, cops attended his house three times in one night while he held a big party.
