A news anchor on ABC 24 read out social media reaction to Laneway music festival line-up in a deadpan voice, complete with expletives and excited phrases. The result was a very hilarious clip.

Would-be festival-goers used social media to express their excitement after the 2017 Laneway line-up announcement was made on Wednesday. Australian radio station Triple J decided it would get ABC journalist Kumi Taguchi to read out some of the reactions to the line-up show to express Australia’s thrill about the festival, which is now in its 13th year.

Taguchi read out a number of slapstick and expletive comments in a video which was posted to Triple J’s official Facebook page. “Listener Christy tagged in her Facebook friend Siobhan to say of the festival, ‘this is soooooooooo lit,’” Taguchi announces in the video. Her impression of “Yaassss” was quite funny.

Triple J previously posted a video on their Instagram feed which showed the artists lined up for St. Jerome’s Festival. Tame Impala, Nick Murphy (Chet Faker), Glass Animals, Aurora, Tourist, and Jagwar Ma are some of them.

Tame Impala will finish the tour of their celebrated album “Currents”at home in Fremantle as part of this year’s Laneway Festival, as reported by DailyMail. The WA band’s frontman Kevin Parker said the festival was one of Australia’s greatest festivals on Triple J on Wednesday.

The festival, which started out in a Melbourne laneway, will take place in Adelaide, Brisbane, Fremantle, Melbourne, Sydney, Auckland and Singapore. Laneway will kick-start in Singapore on Jan. 21 and finish up in Fremantle on Feb. 5.
