Podcast host Joe Rogan has once again rubbed some Americans the wrong way after comments in his latest podcast episode. He discussed woke and cancel culture, as well as a potentially grim outlook for white men.

The 53-year-old was joined by standup comedian Joe List and they discussed the comedic world and the changes that it has seen over the years. While List touched on the mental health of straight white men, he explained that they should stay away from the usual “self-deprecating” humor in acts.

“You can never be ‘woke’ enough -- that’s the problem. It keeps going. It keeps going further and further and further down the line, and if you get to the point where you capitulate, where you agree to all these demands, it’ll eventually get to straight white men are not allowed to talk. Because it’s your privilege to express yourself when other people of color have been silenced throughout history,” Rogan responded.

When bringing color into the mix, listeners and those who caught wind of the episode topics weren’t impressed with his explanations.

Many even touched on the fact that Rogan's deal with Spotify was around $100 million and has an average of 11 million listeners an episode.

Rogan has been the subject of controversy in the past. He was criticized for having guests like Alex Jones, a far-right conspiracy theorist. Jones was banned from Spotify and Twitter.

Rogan drew scorn in late April for stating that young and healthy people do not "need" COVID vaccines. He later walked back the comments, stating that he is "not an anti-vax person. I believe they're safe and encourage many people to take them."

"The Joe Rogan Experience" was Spotify's most popular podcast in 2020.
