Upcoming biopic "Joy," looks like a familiar film from David O. Russell. The trailer features Jennifer Lawrence being a boss and is playfully throwing lines alongside Robert De Niro and Bradley Cooper in the second trailer of the film.

According to its official synopsis, “Joy” is a semi-fictional biopic of Joy Mangano, the president of Ingenious Design, who invented Huggable Hangers and Miracle Mops. The trailer shows her as a no-nonsense entrepreneur and mother of three whose ambition does not take a backseat while she raises a family. Mangano’s larger than life personality and drive is personified by Lawrence on screen.

The trailer gives away the premise of “Joy.” We see Lawrence banter with her father, played by De Niro, on her wedding day. The next scene of her taking over the family business, chopping off her hair and looking far from the average housewife she refuses to be.

“To Love Somebody” by The Bee Gees plays in the trailer. The score summarises the tone of “Joy.”

“Joy” is the second biopic where David O. Russell has recruited Cooper and Lawrence as actors. The trio previously worked in the biopic “American Hustle,” with Christian Bale and Amy Adams as lead characters.

The film is a reunion of sorts for Lawrence, De Niro and Cooper. The three starred in Russell's critically-acclaimed film adaptation of“Silver Linings Playbook.” For her performance as Tiffany in the film, Lawrence bagged the Oscar.

The rest of “Joy” star cast include Edgar Ramirez, Dascha Polanco, Virginia Madsen, Isabella Rossellini and Elisabeth Röhm.

“Joy” is set for theatrical release on Christmas day.
