In this week's episode of “Jane The Virgin” Jane and Rafael prepare for Mateo’s baptism, while they also try to figure out what they should do about Petra’s pregnancy. Meanwhile, Michael is still trying to make progress with Jane. Rogelio also tries to iron things out with Xiomara by flushing his ex-wife out of his life.

When Michael (Brett Dier) helped get baby Mateo back from his kidnappers, Rafael (Justin Baldoni) was so overwhelmed, that he asked Michael to be the baby’s godfather. Even though he feels awkward about it now, he ends up going through with it because he is so distracted with the Petra's (Yael Grobglas) pregnancy.

Jane (Gina Rodriguez) finally confronts him about his unusual behaviour and Rafael tells her everything about his last sperm sample, and how Petra inseminated herself and got pregnant with his child. Naturally, Jane freaks out. Petra talks to them and offers three options: 1. She gets an abortion; 2. She meets a Russian Oligarch and disappears with him to Russia; 3. They raise the baby together.

Jane doesn’t want to decide for Rafael because it’s his baby, and they are no longer a couple. Rafael wants her to get involved because he is concerned about the new baby's impact on their relationship. In the end, they decide that they can’t let Petra disappear with the baby. They ask her to stay, so that they can figure out how to raise him as Mateo’s brother. This gives Petra hope that she can still get Rafael back.

Meanwhile, Michael is harboring some fresh relationship hopes of his own. After Rogelio tells him that Jane thought it was sexy that he acted tough, so he tries to be more macho. Rogelio gives him a journal to write down his feelings instead of blurting them out to Jane. She begins to notice that he’s become quite distant. Luckily, he decides to go with his own instincts.

When Michael finds out about Petra’s pregnancy, he suddenly realizes what Jane is going through. He decides to give her the journal, which is now full of his feelings and opinions about her problems. Jane reads everything and is once again reminded about how well Michael knows her and how sensitive he is.

While Jane is trying to figure out what to do about her relationship with Michael and her baby daddy, Rafael, she also faces another dilemma. She is delighted to learn that she got accepted into the grad school program that she desperately wanted to enter. However, she needs to take a prerequisite class that starts almost immediately. This means that she needs to leave Mateo behind just three weeks after giving birth.

She tries to bring Mateo to class, but her adviser refuses to let him stay after he causes a commotion. She refuses to miss any special moments in Mateo’s first few months and decides to turn down grad school. In the end, her mom and her grandmother talk her back into going to school.

They tell her not to stop chasing her dream. They also convince her that being in grad school would not make her a bad mother. She finally sees the wisdom in their words and goes back to school.

Meanwhile, Xiomara tries to help Rogelio flush his ex-wife out of his system. She thinks that it will be beneficial for their relationship, once he gets over her. Unfortunately, Luciana has been chosen as the best candidate to be Rogelio’s love interest in upcoming sequences in his telenovela.

Xiomara stays positive and urges Rogelio to do a screen test. She changes her mind about the situation when she sees the two passionately kissing during a scene. It feels too real for Xiomara and she walks out. In the end, Rogelio decides to drop Luciana from the cast because he wants to prove how important Xiomara is to him. Unfortunately, Luciana blackmails him with a secret video so that she can keep the role.

Find out what’s in the video, when “Jane The Virgin” returns next Monday at 9:00 pm ET on The CW.
