Some members of the extremist ISIS have managed to enter the United States, according to a congressman from California. In fact, he said at least 10 have been captured by the U.S. Border Patrol trying to sneak into the country from the Mexican border in Texas.

Appearing on Greta Van Susteren's show on Tuesday at Fox News Channel, Rep. Duncan Hunter (R-CA) said the ISIS has actually already infiltrated the U.S., and that he has knowledge that some ISIS members have been arrested.

"I know that at least ten ISIS fighters have been caught coming across the Mexican border in Texas," he said. "There's nobody talking about it." A member of the House Armed Services Committee, Hunter said the 1,933-mile southern border is a very essential tool the ISIS can use as it carries out its war and lone wolf attacks in the U.S.

The capture of the 10 ISIS fighters, Hunter said he got directly from the U.S. Customs and Border Protection. He flagged that if the border patrol caught 10, then perhaps "there's gonna be dozens more that did not get caught by the border patrol." With 20,000 agents, the U.S. Customs and Border Protection is the agency tasked to patrol the borders in Texas, Arizona, New Mexico and California.

Hunter pointed out the caliphate state, regardless of its braggings of mass slaughter and incomes of more than $1 billion a day, does not have the means of highly sophisticated transportation such as air force or navy that could help bring it into the U.S.

The only way that the ISIS can enter the U.S. and eventually harm the country and its people is by coming in through the southern border, "which they already have."

In August, Gen Martin Dempsey, chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, had remarked open borders are very much accommodating tools for terrorists.

Early in October, independent Web site Vocativ said a number of ISIS supporters are actually already within the U.S. and have managed to blend in with the many to avoid detection by the authorities.
