It's time to get your brawling skills some practice, as Injustice: Gods Among Us finds its way into the EVO (Evolution Championship Series) 2013 line-up.

In an announcement made last week from Evolution Championship Series co-founder Joey Cuellar, he stated that apart from the eight official titles already pre-announced, a last title will be joining the roundup, and it just happens to be NetherRealm Studios' acclaimed DC game, reports Joystiq.

If you didn't' know, the EVO 2013 is happening at the Paris Las Vegas Hotel & Casino from July 12 to 14, and it will be the gathering of fans for what is the largest and longest-running global fighting game tournament.

Official Injustice patch notes out

Over the weekend, Injustice: Gods Among Us has released its first official patch for the game as part of the Compatibility Pack DLC update.

While you won't find any drastic changes, it does have performance improvements and tweaks that will help you get ready, should you plan on embarking on the EVO 2013 tournament.

Here's a list of the fixes, according to the official Injustice: Gods Among Us website.

Code fixes:

  1. Added the Lobo Gameplay Functionality
  2. Strengthened stability of online connections between different connections for less de-synchronizations
  3. Added the ability to initiate transition attack when the defender is in an elevated position
  4. Removed the ability for two gadget characters to place bombs at the same time on some Interactive Objects

Balance tweaks:

  1. Increased overall combo damage scaling after a knockdown from Interactive Objects
  2. increased overall combo damage scaling on planted sticky bombs (Down + Interact button) pop-up combos
  3. You can no longer initiate a clash on Killer Frost's Ice Spike outside of a combo
  4. The hitsphere on Doomsday's jumping slash was adjusted to be slightly smaller and more in line with the original intention.
  5. Players land slightly further apart after Arkham/Joker Asylum and Insurgency transitions to make it easier to avoid the ability to use an Interactive Object immediately after landing.
