Stars and producers of Showtime’s hit series, "Homeland" are facing another terror in the ongoing political unrest in Syria, causing them to pull out scheduled production in Israel and instead move the filming of the show’s sequences to Morocco.

Citing a report by Israel’s news outlet, Ynet, the Business Insider noted that the American producers have apparently broke the news to its partner production company in Israel and the latter agreed, albeit admitting a bit ‘frustrated” over the decision.

"We were already getting organized, we even received scripts, and in the end we were told that the shooting had been moved. It's frustrating," a source privy to the production was quoted as saying by Ynet, said Business Insider.

Morocco is seen as a more stable location to shoot some scenes for some episodes in the upcoming series. It should not come as a surprise however, that Morocco comes as the best alternative to film "Homeland" since the show’s creators, Howard Gordon and Gideon Raff have the same location to shoot their other project, Tyrant.

But the show’s partner production company will reportedly pay the price, literally with the filming scheduled in October 2013. JWeekly estimates increase in production cost by hundreds of thousands of shekels.

It is feared that Syria may retaliate over the potential military action by the U.S. and the growing fear is much felt in Israel and therefore, the country may not be the best place to shoot some of the scenes drawn out for "Homeland" Season 3.

Some scenes in seasons 1 and 2 were filmed in Israel and the show’s producers announced two months ago that there will be plans to revisit the country for season 3. Unless Syrian conflict is put to rest, stars and the production team is headed to Morocco in October 2013.
