You heard it right! Former “X-Factor USA” judge Britney Spears is singing LIVE in Las Vegas. She may have been dissed largely by Simon Cowell on the eve of the show’s premieres on Sept. 11 for not having the right words to say, but Britney’s rep ensured that she has the voice to sing, and live in upcoming gigs.

While a popular pop icon such as Britney Spears singing live should not really be a big news, this one is. Indeed she may need to hire her publicist to announce to the whole world that she is doing what every singer should be doing in live performances - - singing LIVE.

The rep for Britney has released a statement revealing that the singer is undergoing vocal training to prepare for her upcoming gigs in Las Vegas.

“Britney will be singing. As stated before, she is in vocal training —has been for months,” her rep was quoted as saying by unrealitytv.co.uk.

Britney confirmed in a Good Morning America interview recently that indeed she will be staying in Las Vegas for two years. She is set to perform her greatest hits and some new songs.

Despite affirmation that Britney is training to prepare for Las Vegas gigs, a source has disclosed that the singer has no plans to live sing at all. And apparently, the former X-Factor USA judge is allegedly planning on miming all her performances during her two years stay in Las Vegas. A strong suggestion but if true, it will not do Britney any more good with expensive tickets, which “cost an arm and leg.”

“Britney does not sing. She is being paid a lot of money to lip-sync,” an insider was quoted as saying, before adding “her fans are none the wiser, but it is disingenuous of her to take their cash and not deliver a proper performance.”

The news of Britney singing live could indeed be a refreshing one since the singer has been in more than one occasion disappointed her fans in the past.

It will be recalled in 2009, fans left her concert in Circus arena in Australia after realizing that she was lip synching her hit songs.

If Britney’s voice does not get better even after her training, then fans in Las Vegas will sure be disappointed, too.

The former “X-Factor USA” judge is rumoured to earn $30-M in the course of her two-year stay in Las Vegas, with ticket prices between $79 and $179 each.
