The best part about PC gaming is the earnest, and sometimes spectacular, effort by the enthusiastic community towards improving and building upon the core games. Popular videogames such as the "Half Life" series and the more recent "The Elder Scrolls: Skyrim" have spawned a prolific breed of modders who create interesting tools, extra levels, sometimes even entirely new gameplay experiences. Techland's zombie game "Dying Light" seems to be a new favourite amongst modders. The rather unimaginatively named Super Aggressive Zombie Mod seems quite promising.

What the mod lacks in its name, it more than makes up in the fun factor. Thanks to subtle changes to enemy AI, it radically changes the way you play the game by making the whole affair a lot more challenging. The mod works exactly as the name suggests. The enemies are rendered way more aggressive and will pursue with a lot more conviction and relentlessness according to VG247.

To make matters worse – or better, depending on your inherent masochistic tendencies – the zombies can now detect you at an increased range. That means running through familiar environs now translates into a veritable choo-choo train of death, where you play as the engine seemingly connected to a long line of flesh-eating zombies in hot pursuit. This creates a brand of frenetic action that forces you to rely on mastering your parkour skills to outrun and survive the fast-moving zombies, according to Lazy gamer.

You can head over to Nexus Mods and click on this link to visit the download page. If you haven't tried out "Dying Light" yet, you might be interested provided you're a fan of zombie-themed survival horror games. Techland's latest release takes the familiar setup of fast-moving zombies, originally seen in its spiritual predecessor "Dead Island," and pairs it with parkour-like speed running to create a more dynamic experience. Super Aggressive Zombie Mod takes this setup and amps it up to an altogether new level of craziness.

If you're a fan of the growing genre of "masocore" (which is a rather appropriate portmanteau of the words "masochism" and "hardcore") games such as "Dark Souls" and "Super Meat Boy," you might want to give this mod a chance. The modder, however, cautions that the Super Aggressive Zombie Mod is definitely not recommended for the first playthrough. It is only advised for those who have already beaten and familiarised themselves with the game.

If you still believe that you're badass enough to take on this uber-tough abomination, you should check out the gameplay video below to see what you're getting yourself into. And good luck with that, because you'll need it.
