Releasing just a bit after the launch date of Grand Theft Auto 5, Grand Theft Auto Online is the multiplayer mode version of the anticipated game. Here you get a world for 16 players to share gameplay features and more, so that you'll have more texture and adventure to the way you play GTA 5.

It's pretty much living a life with friends online, whether you want to go skydiving, shopping, or just exploring Los Santos. And it's your time to make friends (and enemies) while completing missions, both structured and unstructured.

"In Grand Theft Auto Online, you'll have the freedom to explore alone or with friends, work cooperatively to complete missions, band together to participate in activities and ambient events, or compete in traditional game modes with the entire community, all with the personality and refined mechanics of Grand Theft Auto V," said Rockstar Games in the newswire.

If you want to gain access to GTA Online, all you need to do is buy a retail copy of GTA 5, as access to the online multiplayer comes free with your game copy, and expect it to be accessible on October 1.

Battlefield 4 is very next-gen friendly

Counting down the days towards its supposedly explosive showcase at Gamescom, DICE and EA have announced beforehand that Battlefield 4 will allow for the transfer of multiplayer stats and ranks from the current-gen versions to the next-gen.

"Whether you are playing on Xbox 360 or PlayStation 3, we want to make your transition to next generation easy," said EA in a press statement quoted by IGN.

This would be very convenient for those who would like to play the game beforehand on their current consoles, as the next-gen consoles are still slated to come out later in the year--and, for the Xbox One, perhaps even later considering that the delay in eight of its target countries.

There's surely more to come with Battlefield 4 at Gamecom, which starts on August 21, as DICE promised a hell of a show featuring Battlefield 4.

PS Vita gets a new game with pets

The PS Vita is definitely not yet ready to kick the bucket as another game has been added to the list of releases for the device.

According to PlayStation EU, the PlayStation Vita Pets is slated for release come 2014. Developed by Spiral House, PlayStation EU got down with creative director Kevin Oxland, who revealed that the title is more than just a pet sim--it's a pet game for the younger generation of today.

With the PS Vita Pets, you can choose from four puppies who can move and speak in a different manner to keep it interesting. The game also entails exploration with your canine friend, solving puzzles and going on adventures.

For the meantime, the developers are trying to avoid revealing too much information about the game, but expect its debut at Gamescom on August 21 to 25.
