“Girl Meets World” Season 3 has begun and it is now on its third episode titled “Girl Meets Jexica.” While episodes 1 and 2 was about adjusting with high school life, the next one will see Riley having an issue with who she is.

Spoiler alert! This article contains “Girl Meets World" spoilers. Read on if you would like to know what happens next before the new episode airs.

Riley Matthews (Rowan Blanchard) is not herself anymore. She is making a new identity and she will be called “Jexica.” She makes a new online profile, a fake name and a fake account in desperation to become popular in high school. However, despite Riley’s attempt to create a false identity, her friends still find out that she is the one behind the fake name, writes Spoiler TV.

Looking back, the third season marks the gang's entry into high school. In the premiere episodes it seemed that life would not be easy for Riley and her friends, especially between her and her best friend Maya (Sabrina Carpenter). The best buds were also being bullied by the upperclassmen.

Lucas (Peyton Meyer) and Maya would not be happy with what Riley is trying to do. However, Riley is also taking this as an opportunity to teach her friends a lesson.

The episode also features an Auggie (Augustus Maturo) storyline. Auggie is Riley’s younger brother. Their parents Cory (Ben Savage) and Topanga (Danielle Fishel) would be struggling with the younger one’s Internet usage.

Both of the storylines involve the use of the Internet. This can reach out to more viewers as anybody born and raised in the Internet age would be able to relate. For instance, the Riley storyline is a common occurrence among teenagers nowadays because of the appeal to become anonymous. Pretending to be someone else is not something they could easily do offline, Cartermatt writes.

As for the Auggie storyline, parents are expected to be able to relate with the issue on how much they want their child to see about the world and gain access to all the information online. The episode will show that there are no black and white answers to such issues and, as parents, like Cory and Topanga, they would have to be diplomatic and figure it out eventually.

“Girl Meets World” season 3 episode 3 airs on the Disney Channel on June 10.
