"General Hospital" fans have watched A.J. Quartermaine struggle for his life for the last couple of weeks after a gunshot wound. Unfortunately, it seems that he is about to lose his battle. People have been sneaking into his room trying to kill him and it does not help his chances of survival.

According to TV Guide, Sean Kanan is about to exit the show soon. Would this mean rest in peace for A.J. or will he simply be hidden somewhere else? Reports say the GH writers knew Kanan was not in for the long-haul because he was not happy with his role. "I was thrilled to be brought back to GH for the show's 50th anniversary and really had fun working with Frank Valentini but I was not over the moon about the writing. Doing stories about relish and panic attacks was not what I thought I had signed up for. I feel I brought everything I could to my character but it was obvious they were not going to give me a great love story which I found very disappointing," Kanan told TV Guide.

Based on his statement, fans are likely not going to see a romantic storyline for A.J. Quartermaine. Fans wonder how will A.J. exit the show and while Kanan was still tight lipped on the subject, he did offer some clues. "I spoke with exec. Prod. Frank and we agreed mutually that if I was not happy, they could find a good way to write me out and that it was best to wrap it up," Kanan said. Is death a good way to write A.J. out? Will someone take him away or will he choose to leave Port Charles by himself as soon as he recovers? A.J. will continue to be on the show until early April.

Sean Kanan is reportedly going back to CBS' soap opera, the "Bold and the Beautiful" on June 13 as his previous character, Deacon Sharpe. Katie stole Ridge from Brooke Logan in B&B and it is just the perfect time for Deacon to come back to his old love interest.
