Jon Snow may not be the same innocent man he once was in “Game of Thrones” Season 7. Cast member Kit Harington has explained how his character has changed in the previous season. The actor used the words “darkness” and “evil” to describe his character.

[Spoiler alert]

In a video released online, Harington (Jon Snow) pointed out that his character’s return from being dead is very much like Beric Dondarrion (Richard Dormer). Beric told Arya (Maisie Williams) that every time he comes back, he is “a little less.”

“This kind of resurrection is not a joyous thing. I think that’s absolutely the case with Jon,” Supervising Producer and Writer Bryan Cogman said in the video. The first thing Jon did after coming back from being dead is execute the people responsible for his death. He decided to be the executioner, just as Ned Stark (Sean Bean) had taught him.

One of the traitors of the Night’s Watch was Olly (Brenock O’Connor). Harington said that his character thought he can’t do it, but then the memory of the stabbing came rushing to him. “Darkness” and “fury” overtook Jon and he cut the rope, the actor explained.

“Don’t mess with Jon Snow,” Ben Crompton (Dolorous Edd) said in the video. Dolorous took over the position of Lord Commander. Harington explained that when his character hands the cloak to his friend there is no doubt in his mind that he has to leave the Night’s Watch, because there’s no turning back after killing Olly.

Cogman believes that Jon Snow “did die” in the previous season. “This character’s something else. He’s more haunted. He’s seen what lies after death, which is nothing,” Writer Dave Hill explained.

“A little bit of bad has entered him. A little bit of evil. I’m back, but something’s gone,” Harington said. Will Jon Snow in “Game of Thrones” Season 7 appear more different than what the fans are used to?
