Filming at Banbridge, Northern Ireland for “Game of Thrones” Season 6 is reportedly continuing. The location stands in for Riverrun on the show and with filming entering its third week; it suggests that the location will have some significance on the show.

[Spoiler alert]

According to a report by WinterIsComing, three weeks of filming at Banbridge suggests that the battle scenes being filmed at the location will be one of the two big action sequences on the show next year. The report notes that the battle scene in the Hardhome episode of Season 5 took five weeks to film.

The scenes being filmed at Banbridge are said to be that of a Lannister siege of a castle that belongs to House Tully. According to a previous report by Los Siete Reinos, Brynden Tully (Clive Russell), also known as The Blackfish, will be coming back in the next season.

The Blackfish is said to be defending the castle that will be besieged by the Lannisters in “Game of Thrones” Season 6. The character will reportedly be seen in one of the action sequences; shooting flaming arrows at his enemy.

Jaime Lannister (Nikolaj Coster-Waldau) will be leading the Lannister attack on the Tully caste. He will be accompanied by his companion Bronn (Jerome Flynn). The two characters were last seen on a ship heading back to King’s Landing.

The Blackfish has not been seen since the third season of the show. The character was part of Robb’s (Richard Madden) forces at the Twins, where Robb was supposed to attend a wedding hosted by the Freys. The Blackfish managed to escape the infamous Red Wedding massacre of the Stark forces.

“Game of Thrones” Season 6 is slated to premiere by April 2016. The show ended in a cliff-hanger for several major characters like Daenerys Targaryen (Emilia Clarke) and Arya Stark (Maisie Williams).
